Why choose the Royal Parks Half Marathon
Guaranteed Race Place: Only 1 in 7 ballot applications are successful, but we will secure a guaranteed race place for you if you commit to running and fundraising at least £400 for us.
Stunning Route: The Royal Parks Half Marathon route creates a half marathon like no other. Experience the beauty of running on closed roads past some of London's most famous landmarks and 4 of it's Royal Parks as you complete the Royal Parks Half Marathon course on Sunday, 12th October 2025.
Support & Encouragement: We'll be with you every step of the way, from training support to cheering you on during the race.
Why run for Learn to Love to Read in the Royal Parks Half Marathon?
As a Learn to Love to Read runner you will receive:
- A guaranteed space in the Royal Parks Half Marathon so you can start your training and don't have to wait for the ballot results
- A discount on the standard entry fee; a ballot place costs £62 plus admin and a charity place is just £35 plus admin fee (*please note charities are charged £150 for each entry and so we ask that you raise a minimum of £400)
- A Learn to Love to Read running T-shirt
- Access to a runner's team what's app group where you will receive fundraising support, running tips and the opportunity to connect and train with your fellow Learn to Love to Read runners
- Dedicated and personalised support from our Fundraising Manager and the wider Learn to Love to Read team
- We will encourage and support you as you train and be there to cheer you on as you run!
- A post race thank you and recovery pack

Entry Requirements:
There is a £35 (plus £4.95 admin) entrance fee and a minimum fundraising target of £400** (although many of our runners raise higher amounts)
Entrants must be 17 years of age or older on the Half Marathon race day

**Learn to Love to Read is charged £150 for every charity place
Join our team with your ballot place
If you have been lucky enough to secure your own place through the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025 ballot, and have already paid for and confirmed your place through the event organiser, we'd love for you to join our team of runners.
There is no minimum fundraising commitment; we just ask that you raise what you can to help us develop literacy and give the children of Wandsworth the best start possible.
You will receive support from our Learn to Love to Read team and a Learn to Love to Read runners t-shirt.
