We believe that children should never experience abuse of any kind. We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and keep them safe, and we are committed to practise in a way that protects them. We require all our staff, volunteers, trustees and anyone working on behalf of the charity to share this commitment.
All new volunteers are required to attend safeguarding training, read relevant safeguarding policy documents, complete a survey to show they have understood the policies and have a clear enhanced DBS check prior to starting their volunteering.
Every volunteer is required to refresh their safeguarding knowledge at the beginning of each academic year and to complete a survey to show they have understood the policies.
All trustees, and all staff in qualifying roles, are required to have a clear enhanced DBS check and keep up-to-date with our latest safeguarding procedures.
Our latest policy documents can be found below.
