We want to encourage you to find a little bit of time each day to enjoy some reading. Here are our thoughts on how you can do this. Some will involve an older brother or sister or parent helping a younger child, but there are also lots of activities that a child can do alone.
If you don't have access to the internet at home or don't have lots of books, please don't worry - you can still find something to do that will help your child with their reading. Find a magazine, a cook book or even a letter that's come through the post - all of these can help keep your child reading.
And make sure you have fun - chat about what you are reading, imagine you are in the story, can you make up a quiz after reading a book together or what about drawing a picture of your favourite page or person in the book?
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing Anna.
